New Goodies at Target

Image
One of my many mottos in life... I had the pleasure of going to Target on Tuesday after work. I needed a night of just some Target shopping, finding new stuff I have wanted to try, thanks to Instagram. Jif Whips Peanut Butter Pumpkin Pie Spice. Oh man absolutely delicious! It tastes like fall and heaven whipped into a tub. I will have to really monitor this very carefully because I could eat the whole thing haha. Amazing choices of yogurt!! I could have bought way more but these were too good to pass up. Do yourself a favor and go out and grab this one. It tastes amazing. I mean phenomenal!!!! The cream cheese part is very much enhanced. I am in love with yogurt. This one was pretty good too. The coconut side is a bit tart but it has pieces of coconut in it, which I loved! The Pocket thins are great and only 3pp and the coffee is very tasty. And the smell, holy yum. The trail mix addictive. I am a sucker for stuff like this. I am on a sparkling water kick lately. This one is great. It ...

Just needed to vent it out..

Today has just been one of those mornings. Actually the last couple of days have been one of those mornings and days. Tuesday was great after my run and then I hit up Target. Believe me I will be posting all the goodies I got there this week in a post. All I wanted to do was come home after and just lay down and eat and relax. Well, James's mom is here on vacation and her flight was coming in on Tuesday. It got delayed and James then wanted me to go with him to pick her up which would have been around 9:30. My legs were killing me, I mean really hurting. Just so sore from the day and days previous. I acted like a princess for a bit and then gave in. He did say he would treat me to dinner. As much as I would like to limit eating out before weigh in day, I really did not want to cook again. So I went. We had a great night waiting for her at the airport. We went to Friday's and I order some french onion soup and a house salad. Not bad, right? Well we split some apps too. I sho...

Weekly Weigh In

Happy Mid Week!  This will be short and quick. I went to weigh in today and I had a gain of 2 pounds. 2 freaking pounds!!!! Ughh but I know we had a blast on Friday at the game, I ran 17 miles on Sunday and had a burrito on Monday night and had an amazing run on Tuesday. So despite the gain, I had a lot more going on than that damn scale. It's frustrating and annoying but I know this is a journey and I'm never giving up. The weight will come off and I'm sticking to what I know and who I am and how I am going to get there. Even though I felt I wanted to cry but I brushed it off and remembered how far I have really come. It's not about the destination it's the journey!

Best Way to Start My Day

Good Tuesday Morning!!! I am bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. Let's just say I had an ahhhmmazing run this morning. Just 3 miles, but man I was in the groove. Everything was working great. My legs felt awesome, even from the 17 miles on Sunday. I was up before my alarm even went off and no hesitation to get out the door. Why can't all mornings be like this?? I started running right before 6:00 am. My whole neighborhood was dark and quite. I brought along by red flashing strobe light to help light my way, but also to alert cars. People fear me around here when I am running down the street, too many close calls. I left my GymBoss home and was just going to go out and run as is. Just see how my body is and go from there. I ended up running the whole first mile just at a nice pace, I honestly felt like I was a speed demon. It felt great, but I wasn't panting. I tried for my Magic Mile and it happened at 10:54!! I haven't seen that number with me running by...

Journey to 26.2 Day 105: Rest and Recovery and What I Ate

Holy Moly am I sore this morning!! I am sore literally all over. My neck is sore, my hips, my legs, and my sides.  But... I love the feeling even if it sucks. Unfortenally, I have to work tonight, I scheduled myself to close which I am so thankful for. I slept in this morning, really late, 11!! I haven't slept in that late in forever. Yesterday, I didn't hardly nap, which was different for me and I made it up today. It felt great, despite the fact of howy body feels. I used today as a rest and recovery day rather than a XT day because of how I was feeling. I did that last time when I ran 15 and I felt really good and rested for the week. Yes!!!  I'm still on cloud 9 I did those 17 miles and I have to put in around 30+ miles this week!! I am half way there! I'm off of work on Saturday and very excited that means I can sleep in AND run!! Woohoo. I was a little bit of a hungry monster yesterday too.. Here are my eats of the day after the run.. Egg White Scramble Bowl All W...

Running..Sweating..Crying..& Dancing My Way Through 17 Miles

Today was another big milestone day for me and I think it went way better than expected and from the last one. Per training, today was 17 miles. As you know, I was super nervous and excited for this run. Nervous in the fact it is more miles, more sweat, more tears, more minutes and more pain and hurt. But to be quite honest there really was nothing to be nervous about. I went into this run with the mind frame, it is just two more miles than last time, 25 more minutes. I did 15, I can do 17. And I did... Like I mentioned I closed at work last night and didn't get home until 9:30. James had my pasta all done and ready for more. I threw in some chicken breasts to it and ate happily. I was starving and knew I needed to eat a little bit more for the carbs and fuel. I split some popcorn with James and for my sweet tooth, had some nutbutter and a banana. I actually made it to bed around midnight. I know that sounds crazy, since I had to get up at 4, only 4 hours of sleep, but ...

Quick Update and Revamping My Training

Good Saturday Morning...Almost Afternoon. I was absent from a post yesterday because I was busy from morning until night. Here's a quick little recap. I have some pictures to post from my day yesterday, but I am rushing to get ready for work, so a seperate post will be tomorrow. I was going to do a walk or XT yesterday, BUT, I am doing 17 miles on Sunday. I have researched other marathon training programs and each one had at least two days of rest, especially before the long run. Mine does not, it has only one. And I have noticed in my mind and body, I really sometimes need that extra day, especially since my mileage and mid week runs are ramping up. I have been just taking the Saturday off from anything, but I know with 17 miles, I need at least two before. I felt it with the 15, my legs were a bit sore and heavy. So yesterday, I just worked and I can feel a difference. James and I went to the Ray's game last night and had a blast. It was nice for us to do something ...
