Not exactly how I wanted the first week to be...

Good Friday Morning Everyone!!! I hope everyone is having a nice week. The first official week to the new year!!! Mine on the other hand has not been so great. A sickness or sinus or something has taken over my life this week. Between the glorious Aunt Flo visiting from out of town and then Wednesday with the restart to the day, to the last two days I have had the worst sinus pressure and infection. I mean I can not catch a break. On Wednesday I did get a great 3.1 mile run in around our neighborhood. I went back to sleep in the morning and then put on my big girl panties and went for a run. It was a gorgeous day and it felt really nice to get the run in. Then I spent a few minutes in our little home gym, lifting some weights. Yesterday and today though not that great. I woke up with such a sinus problem. Which I know has a lot to do with the change of weather here in Florida. I know, I know, 40 degrees isn't bad at all, compared to a lot of my friends who live in the teens...

Discover Brookside

I was given a free sample from Brookside Chocolates of their new Chocolate Cluster Fruit Combination. Well I am very familiar with Brookside. I love all their dark chocolate and fruit items, it is actually a weakness of mine. I love the Dark Chocolate Acai with Blueberry. So when the opportunity through Crowtap come up that I could try Brookside Dark Chocolate Crunchy Clusters, I was all in and they couldn't have come at a better time. Can I first say they are amazing!!!!!!! I mean like really, really delicious. They are clusters of cripsy multigrains with fruit covered pieces in dark chocolate, I mean doesn't that just sound amazing. The fun part were some pieces were really big, others small, but HUGE in taste. I could not stop eating them either, which could be a bad idea. But for my cravings and taste buds, it was spot on. I haven't seen these in any stores yet, but when I posted to Instagram, I was told they are sold at Costco!! Big score because it is prob...

WW Update and Restart to the Day

Alright confession time, I was planning on today to be a nice and productive day. I was gonna clean my car, get a run in early, take down the Christmas tree and some other stuff around the apartment. I had full intentions and I even wrote it all down in my planner.... And seriously all I want to do right now is crawl back into bed and hide under the covers for just a little bit longer. I woke up today in just a crabby mood. Ever have that happen???? And seriously, that really never happens to me. I am usually a take on the day kind of person, but from the moment I woke up to making breakfast and having my favorite part of the day, my coffee, I have just been moving like a zombie. I feel tired and just blah. I know a lot has to do with Aunt Flo being in town, but man I hate when these feelings take over, because it just knocks me down for the count. I really have no shame either in going right back to bed and trying to start the day over. Okay enough with my whining this morni...

Refocused, Recharged and Ready!!

My five day vacation has reached its final day.... But it has been a great one for sure. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to take some time off after the holiday, due to staffing, but I am so grateful for the team I have in place that I was indeed able too and I needed it so bad. These last five days have been truly fantastic and to some they might seem boring or lazy, but to me it was just what I wanted. I laid around a bunch, I read magazines I have piled up, cleaned up our apartment, did a crap load of laundry, went shopping a lot, the movies with Nanci to see WILD. Which by the way was fantastic!!! But read the book before hand. I got some running in and got plenty of naps. At least one a day!! Which on my days off, those are a most. I really truly enjoyed my time off, I even have read two books. Now I am ready to go back to work, even though I mean who really wants too. Sure there were more things I could have done, I could have gone to the beach, the pool, take...

New Year, New Rambles

We are officially in 2015!!! Happy New Year!! Hope everyone had a safe and fun memory filled New Years Eve. Mine was a little less eventful. I spent the morning running. I got 7.16 miles in, making my year total of 850 miles!! I can not believe it, no one I always felt tired and burnt out, those are a lot of miles. But I did it and man did I change from all those miles. I spent the rest of the day, catching up on some serious laundry and watching The Twilight Zone marathon. I watch it every year, they show it all day NYE and New Years Day. It is seriously my favorite time and they show it again around July 4th. I have seen a bunch of them a million times, but they never get old to me. Then I spent the night eating bread. Haha, not really but we went out to dinner at CD Roma's and I got an appetizer and it was cheesy bread with bruschetta baked in. It was pretty damn amazing. But I should have ran a marathon yesterday after it. But, hey you only live once. We went downto...

2014 Was All About My Comfort Zone & What 2015 Holds!!

Alrighty the day has come, the end of the year post. I am a day early on this one, just because I actually had some time to sit down and unwind and finally write it. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!! Okay, so if I had to put a title to the year 2014, I would say, it was all about me getting out of my comfort zone. But not only getting out of my comfort zone but about growth!! This year looking back was a really big year for me. It might not seem like a lot went on or happened but significantly when I look back, I did a lot of pretty amazing things. The beginning of the year with the Gasparilla Distance Classic, running 25.5 miles in two days with 3 races. Then I went to right to the Iron Girl Half Marathon, then taking the biggest jump and deciding to sign up for my first Full Marathon. Training for that marathon, while holding down a full time job, not your most typical one either, while in the summer and in the state of Florida. I trained for 5.5 months, stuck to the plan ...

My Weekend Off...

Okay again my posts are out of order, due to my phone not publishing the post I wrote from the app. But it is after Christmas it was a great Christmas. I was beyond exhausted so took advantage of being lazy all day. I didn't clean or do laundry, I just ate then nap, then ate lunch then napped, then laid around. I was so beat, physically and mentally. But I finally relaxed. Friday I had to be to work super early because the mall was still on crazy holiday hours. I was very cranky, crabby and still tired, but made it through the day and even went to Old Navy and got some good deals with a gift card. Then came home and passed out into a nice long nap. Then decided to clean the heck out of our apartment, finally. Still haven't attacked the laundry, but that can wait. I unwind ed with a nice bottle of wine on Friday too, which felt great knowing I didn't have to wake up for work the next day or set an alarm. It has been forever since I haven't had to do that. I woke ...
