A Good Start to the Year

Okay let us take a minute and reflect that it is now the end of January. Holy heck another time just flying on by. I know I say this all the time but god it just flys by. So lets reflect back on this month. I had some pretty high hopes for this month and they fell a little bit short because of being sick. I was sick the beginning of the month for two days, which I believe accounted for my time of the month and then this last week, I was sick for the whole week, finally feeling better towards the end. I ended up doing pretty well on my half marathon training. I didn't do a whole lot of cross train because at times I consider my job my cross train, I mean I can earn 10,000 steps in one day there. But I did get 55 miles in this month and 945 left to go for the year lol. I chipped away nicely with that. I did want to add a 12 miler this month but its okay, I will make that up later on. I have done very well I believe with my eating. Really focusing on my protein and my carbs. Pro

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!! It is a super rainy day and night here in the sunshine state lol. This morning James and I woke up too rain and no power, it was beyond strange because the storm is not bad at all, but our whole apartment complex was with out power. You tend forget how privalaged you are when you go with out power for hours. I can not imagine going without power for days. The first thing out of James mouth and thought in my head, was COFFEE! haha, duh priotories. I saved the day and went to Dunkin for our fix. Thank god for DUNKIN!!! I then had a conference call to take care of and then the whole day was mine. We were out of power till around 1:30, so I organized my desk and worked on my Erin Condren Life planner and read some of a book. And went to Big Lots to get some steps in and well shop a bit lol. While looking at my phone, bored for a bit, I realized I had taken pictures of some new to me products I am loving lately and figured I would do a New Finds Post, whic

Down With Sickness

So 2016 is off to an all around crazy start for me lately! I cant keep to get into a good routine without things going all over the place. Between work, running, keeping up with social activities, the never ending pile of laundry and keeping our house clean, oh trying to dive into a book and finish shows on Netflix, it has been crazy and I have neglected my blog, which is the thing that brings me such happiness. Well I will change that very soon, I have two days coming up this week that are back to back days off and I have made it a point to get some good blogs going with it. Right now, I just wanted to pop in so quickly to tell you I am here. I am sure if you follow me on Facebook and IG, you know I haven't been doing a whole lot, just running, working, drinking coffee and Being SICK!!! Yup, I have gotten hit with a wicked bad cold/sinus infection. Which cost me a nice 100.00 copay today when I went into the Urgent Care because I Have not set up a new doctor yet. Being an adul

Good Friday Morning!!!! So I haven't done one of these Currently posts in a long time... and these are one of my favorite posts. Current.. Book: Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee.  I was super excited to find this book at the Library finally. I haven't started it yet, I tried to the other day but I ended up falling asleep. I do plan on Sunday spending a good part of the morning doing just that. Music: Well I am still obsessed with the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack. But this song by the Zac Brown Band, is my new favorite running song. I love the beat and it really pumps me up. Guilty Pleasure: My new Erin Condren planner. I guess it is no a guilty pleasure per say, but I am obsessed with stickers and decorating it and making it look so visual. Every day  I am looking at my planner and how I am going to make it better. Drink: Nothing special at all, just coffee and water. Food: I have been trying to get as much protein as I can lately. I have been eatin

Happy Sunday!! Man oh man do I love having Sunday off, there is just something about having that day off that just truly makes everything feel better in the world... And today has been set up for satisfaction. While I am ready for football to be over a little bit so James can stop being super crazy, it is an excuse to have him home every Sunday, as long as the Redskins are playing. It has been awesome. And we have started a tradition to go out to breakfast each morning we have off. We have been trying new places too which is so much fun. I love our little moments together and then we just spend the rest of the day relaxing and cheering on the Skins. But wait let me back up from this week.... So my Half Marathon training had been going really well lately. I finally get back into a routine as work has slowed down and life can go back to normal again. Monday I had to get in 5 miles and I did that after work, which I am  not a huge fan of, but I love to sleep more, so I have to

My Running Happiness Playlist

Good Sunday Morning!! I have had a pretty fantastic start to this new year so far.  I have been blessed to have the whole weekend off and gosh how have I had needed it. And I got some running in, which is always a great, great thing. I got 7 miles down on New Years Eve and then 4 miles Saturday and 5 today!!! Wooho. Now I am a music runner. I have to listen to music while I am running, it motivates me and keeps me going, PLUS, I HATE hearing my breathing. It throws me off, so music seriously keeps me going. I thought I would share with  you my AWESOME running playlist. I finally have downloaded music from Itunes and created a Running Happiness playlist. Now these songs are all over the place. I love all types of music and my music can go from rap to classical in a matter of minutes. I put my running playlist on shuffle and just let it fly. Sometimes I skip some songs depending on my mood but other times I just go with it. And others I bust out some moves mid run :0) Now I d

My 16 Goals for 2016

While I am not a fan of resolutions into the new year, I do love the idea of setting up goals and ideas and intentions into the new year. Mainly things that I didn't get to do in 2015 but would love to go forward with it in 2016 and a lot of these are things I do now, just continuing it on. 1 . A reading challenge with  my Good Reads app to read 50 books this year. I love to read and setting a goal would make me read even more. I need to put down my phone more or the TV, and just unwind with a book and not social media :0) 2. Run a sub 30 minute 5k. I had this on my goal in 2015 but with my accident it didn't happen and I am on a quest to chase that number. 3. PR a half marathon and it doesn't have to happen in a race. My Best Half Time is 2;29. I am coming for that number this year.  4. Run a 1000 miles this year. This is my year again to get back into my love of running and really focus back into it. 5. Use a plan to have an exercise program, not only with the r
