6th Year Fit Anniversary!

Image
There are many moments in my life that kind of define who I am. Changed me for the better. Obviously when I graduated High School and College, those are first ones. Then when I took the leap of Faith when I moved to Florida. When I ran my first Full Marathon and this day, 6 years ago, actually was the day that brought me to my first Full.  Without this day, January 26, 2011, that Full marathon and everything in between, never would have happened. This day 6 years, I walked into a Weight Watchers meeting, not expecting anything, doing to support a friend, hoping to just loose some weight and that was it. Well I got a second chance walking in there. I got a chance at a new life and became someone I never thought I could possibly be. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I suppose some days just really stick with you. I was wearing a green velvet jumpsuit. The size was a 1x. I was never a 1x before and I knew this would change me forever. I went to get lunch with

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Things I Learned From Chick-Fil-A Oldsmar

Image
Hi Friends! Last week I was given a night of yummy goodness at a local Chick-Fil-A here in Florida. The Chick-Fil-A of Oldsmar to be exact. Through my relationship with the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I was given a free meal and some goodies for my participation and post, but all opinions are my own. I love chicken and when I first moved here to Florida, 8 years ago, James told me there would be one place I would truly love; Chick Fil A. And yup, sure enough I did! The fast food restaurant, sells nothing but chicken, hello, best place ever. Not only chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, soups, salads, etc. And dessert, but not chicken related haha on that one. There are many locations in my area, even one in my mall but the Chick-Fil-A of  Oldsmar, FL, is very special. You can tell instantly it is being run by a fantastic manager, who truly enjoys what he is doing, displays that to his staff, which in turn gets all over the customers and as a customer and consumer, I greatly apprecia

All The Friday Feels....

Image
Good Friday Morning!!! I am having all the Good Friday Feels this morning. I am off for today and tomorrow and a half day on Sunday. And the best part is I am watching our friends dog all weekend long. Sleepover at our place and everything!!! So I haven't done a CURRENTLY post in a long time. So I figured I would do one today. My new planner I got from Michaels, actually has a Currently post at the beginning of each month to fill out, which I LOVE and I am using that as my guideline. Reading : Well I just picked up a ton of books from the library. I love that you can request books, so then I go crazy and request a ton and then they come in all at once, like this time. But I am starting Truly, Madly, Guilty today. Planning : Well I use my planner every day. SO planning is something I always do. But I am planning on lots of fun things this weekend. Taking Sherman to the dog beach today, meeting Nanci in Downtown St. Pete tomorrow for the market and BIG planning is my trip

Week Two: Progress NOT Perfection

Good Sunday Morning!!! Another week in the books. I am going to try to do these weekly posts about the week prior. They hold me accountable as a weekly progress, PLUS It helps for me to be honest. Because lets face it, not every week is what Instagram and Facebook show us lol. Have to say that last week was slightly better than the week prior. Slightly. I wasn't  perfect but I was on point. Let's start with my eating. I only ate out once. James brought home tacos on Tuesday. I originally didn't plan to have tacos that night, but it came up in conversation at work and you know what happens then. IT was stuck in my head and all I could think about was tacos. I might have also went a little bit overboard with the chips, but I tracked and moved on from it. I made awesome Chicken Taco Soup in the crock pot this week. Chicken breast (depends on how many you want to serve, I used 3 big ones) can of reduced sodium black beans can of dark red kidney beans a bag of

Week One-I Had Motivation but lacked Discipline

As you know one of my favorite people in this world is Bobby Bones from the Bobby Bones Show. I have posted about Bobby Bones many times of how inspirational and influential he is, especially in his social media account and on air. He is probably one of my favorite people to follow on those accounts and every morning when I commute to work, the Bobby Bones Show is on play. Last week, I was able to listen in as I was opening at work. If I am not opening, I try to catch it on I Heart Radio on replay on my closing shift. But this was last Tuesday and it was right after the New Year. They were talking about resolutions. Mainly how so many do not succeed with their resolutions because they set them too unattainable or too many, or just lack the drive to want to succeed in them. Such as I am going to lose 100 pounds this year. Or I am going to save so and so. All these really great resolutions with no plans in place. The idea is to take it small right. So Bobby Bones brought up a great i

Happy New Year 2017!!!!

Good 2017 Morning!!!! Holy crap it is 2017. I mean wasn't it just 2016 yesterday!!! Haha, I crack myself up and kicking off 2017 strong with the humor! But seriously, I am I know it was coming, but dang it is crazy that 2017 and January 1 is now. There are some things I LOVE to do on this day. One is wake up and not feel horribly hung over. I can check that off the list, we didn't do a damn thing yesterday. I had plans we were going to go out with friends and drink and all that stuff, but James really wanted to stay in and he wasn't feeling so hot, so we went to dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill, which by the way a hidden gem we always forget about. I had a glass of sangria. Which turned into me getting a stuffy nose. For some odd reason when I drink, I get a stuffy nose all of a sudden. I looked it up online, of course, and I could have an allergic reaction to alcohol or I am dehyrated. Sucks either way. I was sooo stuffed from dinner, we went home and crashe
