6th Year Fit Anniversary!

There are many moments in my life that kind of define who I am. Changed me for the better. Obviously when I graduated High School and College, those are first ones. Then when I took the leap of Faith when I moved to Florida. When I ran my first Full Marathon and this day, 6 years ago, actually was the day that brought me to my first Full.

Without this day, January 26, 2011, that Full marathon and everything in between, never would have happened. This day 6 years, I walked into a Weight Watchers meeting, not expecting anything, doing to support a friend, hoping to just loose some weight and that was it. Well I got a second chance walking in there. I got a chance at a new life and became someone I never thought I could possibly be.

I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I suppose some days just really stick with you. I was wearing a green velvet jumpsuit. The size was a 1x. I was never a 1x before and I knew this would change me forever. I went to get lunch with my friend Missy before. We got pizza and mozzarella sticks, kind of like our last meal. We were going to WW to just join and start a meeting. I honestly didn't expect to have to weigh in. SO when I stepped on that scale, I was shocked. I couldn't believe the number on the scale, 234. I was way over 200 pounds. At my 5 foot frame, that was alarming. I knew I had gained weight, of course, I was not blind to it. I knew how it happened, poor eating, no exercise, etc. I was not SHOCKED "shocked" you know.

I saw that number, my stomach sank, but I knew it was time to change and time to move on. I stayed for the meeting. And loved the experience and jumped in right away. I posted that image to my Facebook and was flooded with so much love and support right away. James was shocked I was doing it, I didn't even tell him. I wanted to do it on my own and support my friend, Missy. I was so nervous, but excited to try something different.

I LOVED tracking. I am a super visual person and seeing my points, etc, gosh it got my juices flowing. And when I lost the first week and how awesome I felt, even eating some things that weren't "DIET" food. I was hooked. I stayed on WW for 4.5 years. I fell in love with running because of WW. I LOVE healthier types of food because of WW. The way I drink my coffee and snack is because of WW. I read labels and nutrients because of WW. Everything I do to this day is because of WW. Who I am, as a healthy lifestyle person is strictly because of WW. I ran 8 half marathons and a full and a challenge because of WW.

Without the help of WW and my own personal motivation and dedication and devotion, I would still be 234 pounds. After 4.5 years, WW died out for me. I was not seeing the results I was getting initially. I was getting bored with points and I felt like I was not eating enough because the exercise I was doing. I did online WW for a bit and then figured, I could do this for free with My Fitness Pal. And so I left WW. But here is the thing, I never really LEFT. WW has a way of staying with you for life, honestly. I still know points to a lot of items.

And all my healthy foods, is because I ate them on Weight Watchers and dang they do have some good WW branded items, I still enjoy. Once a WW, you are a WW for life lol. So for the last 1.5 years I have been tracking my calories and understanding the world of Macros. The last 1.5 years, I have changed my habits, with my protein and water. More than I ever did on Weight Watchers. I track calories, and yes I still track, every single day. Remember I love that visual reminder!

While, I have gained some weight on and off this past 1.5 year. I HAVE NEVER GIVEN UP! And I stay that way for 6 years now as my FITiversary!

6 years of being healthy and being a better version of myself and who I am. I am a constant work in progress. I know my downfalls and I know that when I have a bad day, I can pick myself up and start again. I know that not ever mile I run will be great, but I KEEP running. I know that the gym is the best place to unwind. And yes I can have a slice of pizza and wine, but the next day I SHOULD not. One day is enough.

I know I love protein and lean protein. I know I love fruit and veggies and even though getting healthy food is expensive, it is worth it. I am 6 years of living a healthy lifestyle and a lifetime to go.

And I know that this 6th year just might be my best year yet.

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Things I Learned From Chick-Fil-A Oldsmar

Hi Friends!

Last week I was given a night of yummy goodness at a local Chick-Fil-A here in Florida. The Chick-Fil-A of Oldsmar to be exact.

Through my relationship with the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I was given a free meal and some goodies for my participation and post, but all opinions are my own.

I love chicken and when I first moved here to Florida, 8 years ago, James told me there would be one place I would truly love; Chick Fil A. And yup, sure enough I did! The fast food restaurant, sells nothing but chicken, hello, best place ever. Not only chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, soups, salads, etc. And dessert, but not chicken related haha on that one.

There are many locations in my area, even one in my mall but the Chick-Fil-A of  Oldsmar, FL, is very special. You can tell instantly it is being run by a fantastic manager, who truly enjoys what he is doing, displays that to his staff, which in turn gets all over the customers and as a customer and consumer, I greatly appreciate that and keep coming back for more.

While we were visiting, I learned a tremendous amount about Chick-Fil-A and here for this Top Ten Tuesday, were some highlights.

10. Chick-Fil-A has over 2000 plus locations, they are serving up a LOT of chicken all over.

9. Employees at Chick-Fil-A get to eat for free. That is the coolest perk of a job I can think of.

8. Chick-Fil-A started the food court. Yup, that central location at your favorite mall all started thanks to the owner of Chick-Fil-A. He went to a mall, said I want to put my restaurant in there and the Poof a food court had begun.

7. Chick-Fil-A started in Atlanta.

6. Chick-Fil-A believes 100 in loyalty.

5. In 1995, the cow campaign began. You know the Chick-Fil-A cow, Eat More Chikin. Those cows since then have brought the company many years of sales increase. And has given us consumers the some of the best commercials and billboards.

4. The owners of Chick-Fil-A, the Cathy family, invented the Chicken Sandwich. And thank goodness because it is delicious.

3. The family secret recipe is the original chicken sandwich and still till this day is is super secret. Only the family members are aware.

2. Chick-Fil-A has the #1 calendar each year in the county. The calendar is pretty fantastic. Each month you get a picture of the famous cow AND a food card worth over 35 dollars in free food. Each month you can go to Chick-Fil-A with your calendar card and a get a free item. Oh and make sure to download the Chick-Fil-A app, you get amazing food treats that way too!!

P.S. I am giving away one of these on my Facebook page @ RunChewSparkle today too!!!

1. Chick-Fil-A franchise owners hold the standards of Chick-Fil-A to the highest regards. The Chick-Fil-A of Oldsmar does this beautifully. They want their customers to not only get Grade A chicken, but A Grade A experience also. Hence the "A" in Chick-Fil-A!

If you are in the area, please do yourself a favor and check out the Chick-Fil-A of Oldsmar Facebook page. You can see that this location does it right. Plus they offer tons of events, such as on Tuesday's kids. night, where kids eat for free and tons of other fun events. They post specials through text messaging, etc. Believe me you will leave feeling full and satisfied.

All The Friday Feels....

Good Friday Morning!!!

I am having all the Good Friday Feels this morning. I am off for today and tomorrow and a half day on Sunday. And the best part is I am watching our friends dog all weekend long. Sleepover at our place and everything!!!

So I haven't done a CURRENTLY post in a long time. So I figured I would do one today. My new planner I got from Michaels, actually has a Currently post at the beginning of each month to fill out, which I LOVE and I am using that as my guideline.

Reading: Well I just picked up a ton of books from the library. I love that you can request books, so then I go crazy and request a ton and then they come in all at once, like this time. But I am starting Truly, Madly, Guilty today.

Planning: Well I use my planner every day. SO planning is something I always do. But I am planning on lots of fun things this weekend. Taking Sherman to the dog beach today, meeting Nanci in Downtown St. Pete tomorrow for the market and BIG planning is my trip back home in March and my trip to Nashville in April.

Watching: All my shows are back from winter break and it is wonderful. But probably my favorite show I am watching now is This Is Us. I am sure you are well aware of the show! Seriously I do not think I could love a show anymore. I even got James to like it!!! Which is rare because he rarely likes those types of shows.

Trying: I am trying new workout routines on YouTube. I have to say it is challenging. I am a runner but doing any other types exercise is not something I always did. Especially intense cardio. It is humbling and I am glad I have a hard time getting through most of it because I like the challenge and know I will get better with it later on. I just pull up YouTube and search for one that seems good and do that at least 2 a week and then my running and walking.

Cooking: Everything and Anything in my AirFryer. And that thing is amazing. I love the Airfryer. I have made chicken, we made wings twice and I have done some sweet potato fries and veggies also. It is awesome. I am still trying to try all kinds of things. I will be posting things soon that I make.

Eating: I have to say my eating habits have been getting back on point lately. Not that I ever was off point. But my snacking has been under control. I need more veggies for sure and thankfully I am going to the morning market tomorrow and stocking up on all the fresh fruits and veggies.

Drinking: Oh you know all the coffee all the time. Water like crazy, and I love Sparkling Water!! Obsessed with it actually and wine. I mean nothing like a glass of wine now and then.

Thinking: What I am going to have for breakfast.

Pinning: Well I love Pinterest. Seriously who doesn't. The problem with Pinterest is I PIN a ton of things and forget about them haha. I have been Pinning lately Quotes. From Fitness Quotes, life quotes, work quotes. Nanci and I have a board together on Blogging and she gets all the great pins with that. And recipes. I pin a ton of recipes and some I have even made lol.

Crafting: I wish I was as crafter as I think I am. But I am not lol. I want to be this person who can make all these wonderful things. And I am not. But I try to be. I have nothing crafting at the moment, but I do love to decorate and use my planner with washi tape and stickers.

Going: Today to the dog beach and home to New York in two months.

Loving: Life in general. Seriously I know it sounds corny, but things are really great right now. And I am loving on Sherman today like crazy with tons of kisses.

Dreaming: Of when James and I will get a dog. This weekend is a nice test to how it would be.

Feeling: Happy and Content.

Listening: Right now to nothing as I am typing this. But Music wise all the Country music all the time.

Celebrating: Having the weekend off!!!

Improving: My running. I am currently still sitting at that 13:00 minute mile. Which I know is not bad, I get that but I know I can been faster and better.

At the end of the list there is a section for....

I am GRATEFUL for....

I am grateful for this blog! I am grateful for being able to just randomly write what I am feeling or thinking and doing and having people read along with me. I am Grateful for you just reading!!!

Week Two: Progress NOT Perfection

Good Sunday Morning!!!

Another week in the books.

I am going to try to do these weekly posts about the week prior. They hold me accountable as a weekly progress, PLUS It helps for me to be honest. Because lets face it, not every week is what Instagram and Facebook show us lol.

Have to say that last week was slightly better than the week prior. Slightly. I wasn't  perfect but I was on point.

Let's start with my eating. I only ate out once. James brought home tacos on Tuesday. I originally didn't plan to have tacos that night, but it came up in conversation at work and you know what happens then. IT was stuck in my head and all I could think about was tacos.

I might have also went a little bit overboard with the chips, but I tracked and moved on from it.

I made awesome Chicken Taco Soup in the crock pot this week.

Chicken breast (depends on how many you want to serve, I used 3 big ones)
can of reduced sodium black beans
can of dark red kidney beans
a bag of frozen corn ( could have used a little less there was a lot of corn lol)
can of diced tomatoes
Some frozen peppers and onions
a packet of low sodium taco seasonings
chicken broth ( at first I used only half of the of the container and then added more later on) I wanted it a bit more with broth to really give that soup feel

Put in a crock pot and cook for low for about 6-8 hours, depending on your crock pot. Then the last 30 minutes or so, take the chicken breast out and shred the chicken. Add back into the soup and mix and let cook for a bit more. Then serve up.

I served mine with some fat free shredded cheese and some tortilla strips.

It was so good. Had a perfect amount of spice and was filling. Plus between the chicken and the beans, it was PACKED with Protein and because I had so much of it, I ate it for 4 nights. And I did not care one bit.

My breakfast meals have not been great in the sense of getting like GOOD protein, fat and carbs. I have been eating more on the go and light. Such as Belvita items or a protein bar, a quick yogurt. But at least I am eating breakfast.

Now at work, I bring my lunch every day. I do not get a lunch break. We work single coverage all day long and we can not close the store to get anything to eat. So I have to bring my food. I stick a lot to turkey sandwiches and tuna packets. I LOVE to add tuna to the Steamfresh pasta sides they have or Smart Ones or Trader Joe's Reduced Fat Mac and Cheese. It is so easy and quick and packed with protein.

I have to go grocery shopping to get some more staples in our house of the upcoming week. I need some grapes, some lettuce, some more chopped veggies and some frozen products.

Okay so eating was good. Still was a bit snack monster here and there this week, which happens. But heck I am a work in progress for sure.

So my working out was good this week, way better than last week for sure.

Started on Sunday with a run. A quick two miles because the weather was amazing here in Florida. It was literally in the 30's and it felt great for a quick change. Then I was watching Sherman that day, so we end up going on tons of walks through out the day and we did so.

Monday was almost a day that didn't happen. I ran a quick errand after work and then when I had gotten home, James had some left over Chipotle. I ate it because well its Chipotle. I did some work I needed to finish up and then downed some Spark. I knew I had to get a work out it in, I wasn't giving up. I went over to the gym and it was packed. I live in a small apartment complex with a gym that has like 3 machines. It is hard to get in there sometime.

But I didn't want to give up. So I went back home and goggled some work outs on YouTube. Found one that seemed good. It was High Intensity work out for beginners and I did that one for 30 minutes. Holy hell was it tough but good for my soul. Because my main source of cardio is running and well I struggle with that a lot too but to switch it up and do moves I never do. Was humbling because I am not as fit as I think I am and it brought me down to reality in a good way.

Tuesday I used as a rest day. Which I had planned anyway. Wednesday was Sherman day and we are constantly moving when we are together. So right away we went downtown and got a great 3 mile walk in. It felt nice to just walk it out. Sure we stop and smell everything, have poop and pee breaks, chase squirrels and pull me along with it. But he is an awesome work out partner.

Thursday and Friday fell into those rest days. I am working really hard on those days I close to do something. But dang sleeping in feels so great knowing I don't have to open, I can be lazy a bit in the morning, enjoy my coffee, that I want to do literally nothing. But I am working on it, slowly but surely.

Saturday I knew I HAD to run. I wanted at lest 2 runs in this week. I had opened and got out at 5, I came home sat down for a bit, drank some Spark and then hit the pavement. I was a bit anxious and had a lot of things going through my mind. I need to run it all out because I wanted to breathe again. I am not a fast runner at all. But I know I need to work some speed work into my routine. So I decided to do sprints for a good portion 1.5 miles. And then ran my regular run/walk for the rest to close at 3 miles.

Man sprints are HARD. I was dying. Legit dying. Not really but it felt so good to feel it in my lungs and that push. I will be doing sprints more often. And it felt great to just get into a different running a bit. It kept it going faster and then slower and kept me more focused.

My week was pretty great. I am happy with the progress from the week prior. I did have a 1.8 loss too.

This weeks goal, 3 running days, more WATER, I drink a ton but its hard at work sometimes, and adding more veggies to each meal and a little bit less snacking.

How was your week? What are you focusing on this week???

Week One-I Had Motivation but lacked Discipline

As you know one of my favorite people in this world is Bobby Bones from the Bobby Bones Show. I have posted about Bobby Bones many times of how inspirational and influential he is, especially in his social media account and on air. He is probably one of my favorite people to follow on those accounts and every morning when I commute to work, the Bobby Bones Show is on play.

Last week, I was able to listen in as I was opening at work. If I am not opening, I try to catch it on I Heart Radio on replay on my closing shift. But this was last Tuesday and it was right after the New Year. They were talking about resolutions. Mainly how so many do not succeed with their resolutions because they set them too unattainable or too many, or just lack the drive to want to succeed in them.

Such as I am going to lose 100 pounds this year. Or I am going to save so and so. All these really great resolutions with no plans in place. The idea is to take it small right. So Bobby Bones brought up a great idea and it has stuck with me all week.

Start small. Start with attainable goals. You know that quote everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, it is how YOU use them that make it matter. He mentioned that saying I am going to exercise this year is a bit vague. Because once you say I am going to exercise or on the extreme, saying I am going to exercise EVERY DAY puts you kind of already at a failure.

Because guess what you aren't going to do it every day. Lets be real, especially if you are new to this. BUT what you can do is this week I am going to work out twice this week. Then each week increase it a little bit more. So this week work out twice, maybe next week do the same, then slowly increase and get up to that 4-5 times a week.

Here is my real...I love planning right. I have TWO planners and I am pretty damn organized if I say so myself. Sure life gets in the way and I have lists upon lists. But I would say I love to live a structured life. I am Motivated to be better and do better, but sometimes I like the discipline.

Yup that's the key. And the next thing out of Bobby Bones mouth had me right there. He said Don't Be Motivated, BE Disciplined. That is where it is at!!

Anyone can be Motivated, but it is the discipline that keeps you going. The discipline is what gets you those pounds off and to the finish line and that couldn't have rang more true. When I was marathon training, I was of course motivated, the finish line was my motivation, but Running 20 miles there was not much motivation there. BUT what I did have was discipline because I knew I had to do it.

When I first started Weight Watchers, anytime I went out to dinner, I passed on bread or really looked into the menu not because of motivation it was the discipline that I had to know what was going to work for me. I still have that discipline when it comes to eating. I always make better choices. Because I know what can happen when I don't.

But when it comes to working out and running, this week was not the best. I of course was motivated, it is fresh start right, but the discipline was not there. I worked out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then Thursday- Saturday came.

I had planned a rest day on Thursday anyway but my allergies started to really kick in and I just felt horrible all day. So I had planned on Friday and Saturday to make up for it. Well....

I am real and honest and after and before work, I just didn't want to do it. I knew I had to, but my discipline was not there.

So while I would love to sit here and say Yes, I took on the first week of the month head strong and did amazing. In my heart of hearts, I did not. I lacked the discipline because I let excuses creep in. It happens and I know it happens, but I won't let it derail me and give up. I just know this week I will be better.

I know what I have to do and how to get it done. Heck 3 days out of 7 is a good turn around. But I have to remember that even if I have a bad day, I have to pick myself up and start over, not keep it lingering into the new week.

SO Bobby Bones of course motivated me with that simple phrase...Discipline. I am taping back into discipline and I will succeed.

How was your first week of the new Year???

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Random, Maybe You Knew or Didn't Know Things About Me

Good Morning!!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! I hope you had a great New Years Eve and Day and spent it with family and friends. I hope if you set some goals or resolutions this year, you are off to a great start!!!

Nanci and I are back with our Top Ten Tuesday love, but we are switching it up this year. We are only going to do it twice a month and our topics are going to be different, that way we get a little bit of everything and keep it fresh. Make sure you check out her blog every Tuesday too, to see what fun Top Ten List she has going on.

This week I am posting my first one of the New Year and giving you 10 Things About Myself you probably might not know!!!

10. I have never been out of the country, except to Canada. I love to travel and would love to travel out of the country, I have a bucket list all ready set up for it.

9. I am an only child. Even though I didn't have any brothers and sisters, I really didn't mind. I was never alone and always had cousins around or my grandparents and friends. I honestly never wanted any brothers and sisters either.

8. I worked as a bus girl into waitress at a summer resort. Working at that resort was probably one of my favorite jobs of all time. I made an amazing amount of money those summers too and worked with some of friends. I met a lot of awesome families that would come up for the week from the city, since I lived in Upstate New York, we had more of a country and small town living vibe, it was a nice escape for them.

7. I prefer flavored coffee over just plain coffee and I never drink it black. I LOVE coffee which I have definitely stated a ton of time, but I always have to flavored creamer or flavored coffee.

6. My favorite color seems to change from time to time lol. Growing up I loved orange, then I went to yellow, in college I had my whole room pink and green and then I went to pink and black, I also had it red and black. I am pretty certain now my favorite is pink and teal, but we will see in the next couple of years.

5. I tried out for chorus when I was in the second grade. Yes, this is before they let anyone and everyone get into activities and I was denied being in the chorus because I didn't sing well. Believe me until this day it still haunts me.

4. When I was in HomeEc, we took a quiz to determine what we should pursue later in life as a career. I had a couple of choices, like a vet, a librarian and a secretary. I did my whole project as a secretary. I seriously wanted that Mad Men vibe before I even saw Mad Men, thankfully that changed as I got older.

3. I applied to only 2 colleges, a college in Massachusetts and Keystone College in PA. I didn't get into the one in Mass and Keystone gave me a scholarship. I had no clue Keystone was a private college or the money I would shed out, but it was away from home, I got accepted and figured why the heck not. It was the best decision I ever made.

2. I am a pretty outgoing person but if I have to go to an event on my own, I get really nervous at first. I tend to stand off to myself until I finally open up a bit. I don't like new areas very well but I know it is outside of my comfort zone and just do it.

1. I can sing the whole song Whomp There It Is, word for word and I even would video tape myself doing it when I was younger and if I was given the chance at karaoke, that would be my song!!!

Happy New Year 2017!!!!

Good 2017 Morning!!!!

Holy crap it is 2017. I mean wasn't it just 2016 yesterday!!!

Haha, I crack myself up and kicking off 2017 strong with the humor!

But seriously, I am I know it was coming, but dang it is crazy that 2017 and January 1 is now.

There are some things I LOVE to do on this day. One is wake up and not feel horribly hung over. I can check that off the list, we didn't do a damn thing yesterday. I had plans we were going to go out with friends and drink and all that stuff, but James really wanted to stay in and he wasn't feeling so hot, so we went to dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill, which by the way a hidden gem we always forget about.

I had a glass of sangria. Which turned into me getting a stuffy nose. For some odd reason when I drink, I get a stuffy nose all of a sudden. I looked it up online, of course, and I could have an allergic reaction to alcohol or I am dehyrated. Sucks either way. I was sooo stuffed from dinner, we went home and crashed on our couches. Seriously I had to set an alarm so we could see the ball drop.

Then we had our midnight kiss and off to bed we went. This is 31 people and I have to tell you, I am 100% okay with it. Because I slept in today, well I woke up super early and forced myself to go back to bed, it is a day off anyway for me. And I slept in because I wanted too, not because I was hungover and throwing up.

Plans for kicking off the New Year is as follows, watch hours of the Twilight Zone, work on my planners, by a new calendar, dragging James to the mall quickly to do so, nap, probably get at least a mile run in, just because and then watch the Redskins hopefully make the playoffs. Also maybe fitting in some time for starting a new book in there.

Okay so lets take a little bit about goals and resolutions. I prefer the term goals and we are sticking to it. I set a bunch last year and I am not sure I followed through 100 with any of them, BUT I didn't give up the year ended and I just didn't hit the goal. Such as set a goal to read 50 books and I only go through 42. Heck that still is a lot of reading and so much more than I did the year prior. I wanted to get a sub 30 minute 3 miler and well I think I have gotten a bit worse with my pace because of my hip BUT I did complete a 100 day running streak last year.

So while I didn't do great with weight loss, I did track every day on My Fitness Pal, did I track perfectly, NOPE. But I tracked. And I stayed roughly the same weight.

Okay so the past is in the past right and now today is a day to start fresh.

My goals for 2017 are...

1. Lose 15 pounds and tone up!! Yes I need to lose some more weight for sure, I am feeling fluffy. BUT also I need to not be so hard on myself. I work hard on this weight loss, I make really great decisions but sometimes I have to take a seat back and appreciate how I look and the qualities I have. I am going to continue to track on My Fitness Pal and do a little bit more into Macro counting. I am going to snack more with veggies and fruit and really try to nip that carb snacking in the butt. I love pretzels and crackers. And limit to just one sweet treat a day, it can be a healthy one too.

2. PR a half marathon this year! My current fastest half marathon was 2:29, right under 2:30 I am shooting for anything better, preferably 2:20. I am running the Rock and Roll Nashville Half Marathon in April and I would LOVE for it to be that one. I am still on the fence about the Safety Harbor one in February just because I did not have a great run with it last year. Probably one of my worst half marathons, feeling wise. But I will run something for SFBDR. The Nashville one is what I am planning for. I will stick to a routine, because you know how I LOVE structure!!

3. I am going to be realistic with my work outs and running this year to. I usually set 1000 miles in 2016, pay myself for every mile. That pressure throws me off sometimes. What my goal is to track in my fitness planner all my work outs. Running at least 2 times a week, and then working out the 2-3 days. That is real plan for me because I am going to be real, work is a pain in the ass sometimes and it  gets in the way for my life. I am on my feet all day long, running laps in that store and well I get tired. BUT I know I have to make a true effort to do better, by working out in the morning and after and I will.

4. MORE EXPERIENCES. I know that sounds super vague but sometimes I feel I live my life just going through the motions. I see so many younger people doing all these great adventures and James and I sit and do the same old, same old, which don't get me wrong, I love a night in with the rest of them. But I want to do more, FUN. More concerts this year, more plays, more night outs, more little things we can do together without breaking the budget. We actually bought some Groupon's to go to some breweries and a wine night out. We have plans for some concerts and well Nashville is our big trip. I am ready to just make some memories this year rather than gifts, if that makes sense.

5. Reading more. My goal again is 50 books. I am in love with the library and I love reading, this year I will hit 50 BOOKS. Also getting back in my book club and a blog post about the books too.

6. MORE BLOGGING. Yes, I have taken a back seat a bit. I do a lot on Snapchat, FaceBook and Insta but sitting down and coming up with a post, man that gets hard sometimes. And this is coming from a girl who loves to talk lol. So with the help of Tampa Bay Bloggers and my bestie Nanci, I will be more involved, more in depth and more fun.

7. Purging. Not the scary movie kind of purge but purging of crap and stuff in our apartment. This might be our last year in this apartment and on to a house we go and James and I have a lot of shit! Seriously probably more than we should, so Organization on the home front is in full effect this year.

8. Budgting is a big one for me. I love to shop, seriously I do. But sometimes I tend to go a bit overboard and not save and then the shit hits the fan and I am scrambling. Being honest I have a ton of debt too, thanks to college and well being careless in my early 20's with credit cards. So this year it is time to buckle down. I have pinned that 52 week challenge and we have Dave Ramsey set up. My savings account is ready to be filled up.

9. Filling my Love Tank. James and I have been together for well over 8 years. And we have had lots of ups and lots of downs and sometimes the downs seem to go one forever. So I need to Fill My Love Tank back up with him. And I understand it goes both ways. So this year really focusing on us.

10. And lastly being more positive, gracious and time to be with friends and Sparkle. Okay, I just added probably 3 things into this last one, I wanted to end on 10 because then I start to get a bit stir crazy lol. But continuing my healthy and positive outlook on life two years ago, really has changed me. It has made me a better manager, teammate, leader, friend, daughter, girlfriend, etc. I find the goodness in all and I remind myself of it. I started a journal last year of writing one positive thing a night and I did good and then I forgot, I mean who forgets that. So I am continuing that on.

So that is it. Those are my goals for 2017 and my word for 2017....
