90 Days

This little run streak of mine started off as I was going to do something for the month of May. I was going to run the whole month of May 2-3 miles a day. It was a way to keep me motivated during our second busiest time of the year. Then I got through the month of May and thought, huh, well I am going to just keep this going for a little bit and go until July 4th.

Then after July 4th, I figured well I am going to go to my Birthday...

And now I have hit 90 days!!!!

90 Days I have ran at least one mile a day!!
Even on the days I am extremely tired or broken a bit. Or the days when Aunt Flo was in town. I got out there and did my mile. Or the days when I just was not feeling it and the days when I just could not wait to get out and run.

I am not going to lie, it has been tough. It has been really hard at times. Some nights I am so tired out of work but I wanted to sleep in, so I have to suck it up and get it done.

Also the days off, I didn't turn on an alarm and had to get it done later in the day. The really, really hot days which are overpowering like no other now.

It has been tough. My body aches at times too but I want this and I want to get to 100 days. I will get to 100 days!

I have 9 more days to do it and then we will take it from there.

You would think that with all this running I would losing weight and I have to say I feel like some days I really am and other days not so much.

I have been hungry at times, really hungry and other days I am okay.

I still track my calories and yes I have my cheat meals, but it is about Balance.

The run streak has taught me never to give up at all. And I do not plan on doing that. It is not in my nature to give up at all.

I am in it to complete and get it done.

Right now this run streak is all about me and me getting it done and accomplishing something bigger than myself.

Think Positively & Positive Things Will Happen

Positivity Pledge positive quotes happy happiness positive emotions mental health confidence self love self improvement self care affirmations self help emotional health daily affirmations:

I love this meaning. I love the meaning behind stay positive and upbeat and handling every little thing that life can throw at you.

Around this time last year, at my job we were notified that training managers were going to be able to go to the big sales meeting that they present 1 or 2 a year.

I was not chosen to go because of my sales performance in my location. I was hurt, I was sad, I was mad and I literally cried.

I lashed out and got really angry. My emotions rushed over me like something I had never experienced before and that was Jealousy. Pure jealousy. I hated the feeling. I didn't like that. I didn't want to be that person. I called my friend and vented, I mean I VENTED. I explained why I was so upset and hurt. I work so hard but someone else was going to be recognized. I got the idea of why they were recognizing those who performed better, it made 100% sense. Those who make it SHOULD be able to go, but I was being caddy.

That lasted for a couple of hours. I let those emotions wash over me and haunt me.

Haunt me in a good way because I was determined I would get to go to that meeting this year.

I am sure you can imagine what I am going to say next..

I get to go to our sales meeting this year and I am beyond excited. I get to meet people I have only ever talked to on the phone in our company and finally put faces to names. I get to get my name out there also and learn and grow with a company I am in. It really is exciting.

But it took for me to feel that pain and hurt to really kick myself in the butt.

From that moment last year, I started really diving into the Positivity aspects of life. Growing my knowledge and fighting a little bit harder than I normal did. I started reading Your A Bad Ass and other growth books and expanding my world. I searched on Pinterest for positivity quotes and surrounded myself with those who will grow me and not keep me bogged down.

I made changes in my work environment and really buckled down to the process and growing my team to be better and do better. I switched stores and I didn't think great I am going to have to start over again because of this location. I brought that fire with me and making me stand out above the rest.

It feels really good, knowing how hard I have worked and it is paying off. Sure it is something silly like getting to go to a sales meeting but in my world, it is a big deal.

So if you are struggling right now...

or something doesn't go your way as planned...

Don't jump ship, get mad a moment, cry, scream, doing everything you can...

Top Ten Tuesday- Movies

Good Tuesday Morning Friends....

So confession time...

Last week, I wrote my Top Ten Tuesday Post on T.V. Shows BUT it was suppose to be movies and this week was suppose to be T.V. Shows...

Face Palm Emoji lol...

So this week Nanci and See Jackie Run will be posting about Shows and I will be movies and next week, with the grace of God, I will be on the same track again haha.

Okay so today is all about movies. Going to the movies, renting movies, streaming movies or pulling out a favorite from our collection is one of my favorite things to do with James for a date night. When I am sick and stuck in bed, I love getting lost in my favorite movie, or if I want to remember good times or people I loved, I will kick back and enjoy that flick. Movies take us away, just like books do, just a bit more visual.

It was really hard to pick just 10 movies and I am sure I have missed a bunch, but in no particiular order, here they are....

10. Forrest Gump

I saw this movie when I was a child as one of the first adult movies I went to the movie therate to see. My whole family went, including my grandparents. I remember them being so excited to see the movie and being young I didn't really understand the context. Later in life I watched it again and GOT IT. This movie has given so many good quotes, "Life is like a box of chocolates..." " My favorite, I was running..." Because of this movie I loved the 60's era and did a lot of reports in High School on that era because of this movie. Anytime this movie is on, I have to sit down and watch.

9. Ghost

This movie gave us all the feels, "Ditto" the Pottery Scene and Unchained Melody. It gave the hope that our loved ones are really with us at all times and if we have a psychic who can speak to them, then we are even better. I LOVED this movie as a child and teenager. I remember one Christmas, my Middle School crush and best guy friend, gave this to me on VHS, yup 90's classic as a present and it melted my heart. Watching this movie now is cringe worthy especially the one death scene haha, but it gets me everytime and I cry.

8. Dirty Dancing

Image result for dirty dancing

Best scene in the whole movie. I am on a Patrick Swayze kick here. This movie was actually shot in an area where I live in Upstate New York too. And I worked at a resort like the one portrayed in the movie, but my summers were nothing like this haha. This movie gave us the iconic Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner scene that lead to the best dance scene in the history of movies. This love affair was something dreams were made of.

7. Fever Pitch

Image result for fever pitch

I love Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon to begin with but put them in a romantic comedy and it is pure gold and then throw in the Boston Red Sox, well, it is a classic in our household. It is your typical romantic comedy thrown with some baseball and it was filmed around the same time the Red Sox won the World Series in over 86 years, which brings that extra awesome factor of this movie. It is funny and sweet all rolled into one.

6. Steel Magnolias

This is my Best Friend LeaAnn's favorite movie which in turn it has become mine. We would watch this all the time at her mom's house when we were growing up, sometimes just putting it on to fall asleep. She can quote the whole movie. And now it has become one of my favorites too. It is heart wrenching, funny and just a feel good movie all the way around. And you cant help but cry along wth the characters in that famous funeral scene and then istantly laugh in the same scene, you know what I am talking about. When I find it on, I instantly have to watch and text Lea, I am watching it. Thanks Lea Lea for giving me a good one to have forever.

5. How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days

Dreamy Matthew McConaughey in this flick. This was a Friday night girls night at the local movie place in my hometown movie. I instantly LOVED this movie from the minute I saw it. Plus Andy Anderson and I have the same intitals and I wanted to be a journalist, I mean it was meant for me and the scene where they meet his family playing Bullshit and the shower scene, with the song Feels Like Home playing in the background, well it is Romantic Comedy GOLD. Rent this one with popcorn and wine.

4. Young Frankestein

This is defintely random to have on my list but it is one of Poppy's favorite movies. He cracks up every time and I have even bought it for him for Christmas one year. It is the simple comedy and Mel Brooks is a genius with this kind of humor, along with my Dad's favorite Blazing Saddles. This movie is so funny and the characters make the movie.

3. Shawshank Redemption

I own this movie and have probably seen it a million times. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. It was my Dad's favorite movie too and passed it on to me. Morgan Freeman is in it and it is the story of a man name Andy, who well....I wont give it away, but do yourself a favor if you haven't already, watch this movie and remember Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying.

2. Beetlejuice

I love this movie around Halloween and not around Halloween. It makes me laugh when it is on not around that time frame but I HAVE to watch it every year, sometimes more than once. As a young child, my mom and I watched this while we decorated our little house for Halloween. I would sit on the floor, eating Chocolate Covered Cherries and watching it. Such good memories and such a good movie, with some many cool visual effects and of course the Dinner table scene is the best scene ever!

1. Grease

I watched this movie so much as a kid, that my mom had to hide it on me. I mean she seriously had to hide it in the closet. I even had a slumber party based around the movie. I was a pink lady twice for Halloween. I can sing every song, I know every line, I own the CD,  it is on my Pandora list and I have even seen it on Broadway and I watched the LIVE version this year, so good But this one always has my first love!

Top Ten Tuesday: T.V. Shows

It is Tuesday, which means I am linking up with Nanci, over at This Crazy Life of Mine and we are talking Top Ten T.V. shows this week!

As you know I am a lover of television shows and I have binged quite a lot over the time. With the ability with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and any other streaming device it is hard not to watch some of your favorite shows that way. I love a good binging session for sure, James too. Some nights before we know it we are up past 2:00 am, it sucks in the morning but man you get sucked it.

So in no particular order here are some of my Top Ten T.V. show, this is current, all time and binge worthy all mixed into one.

10. Sons of Anarchy:

I didn't want to like this show. I had no clue how much I would really love it. A show about a biker gang that kills and deals and everything in between, BUT this show is amazing. I was hooked after the first season and fell in love. The characters and the story lines and the lead character, Jax, well you just love them all. I now own calendars and a trivia kit from the show and downloaded tons of music from it. Seriously, if you are looking for something different to watch, this is the show for you! It originally aired on FX and you can stream and catch up through Netflix

9. Game of Thrones:

Another show I NEVER thought I would like. I have heard all the hype of G.O.T. and never understood. I am not one for fighting or history. I want now and real and I want love and funny and well this show really does have it all. It just finished up its 6th season and we are watching it through HBO Now on our Apple T.V. device. James loves the show and while it took me a good 3 seasons to get into it, I really do enjoy the show. Again the characters are so important and interesting you can not help but not like them! We are half way through season 5 right now and should be caught up with everyone else quickly. This is only on HBO so I understand it is hard to find, BUT HBO really does have some other great shows too.

8. Grey's Anatomy

Image result for grey's anatomy

Oh Grey's....This show makes me happy, sad, loved and angry about once an espsiode. While there was a time there I thought I was done with Grey's they find away to get me right back. After the Whole McDreamy horrible death, I am still holding strong. I have to stay until the very last one because I have dedicated so much too it. This past season was really good, thankfully. This can be found on Netflix and it is a great binge worthy show, it has given us lots of amazing quotes, "Pick Me, Choose Me, Love Me", heart breaks, hello the Denny and Double 0 7, the plane crash, the bomb. These characters literally die and come back and still manage to have lives, it is pretty amazing. You cheer and fight along with them and you know who your person is. I highly recommend this show.

7. Breaking Bad

BB is probably the most Binge Worthy show out there, besides me next one. I didn't watch this show when it aired, as probably most of these I had not, but this show is amazing. I was so hooked on this show that before Netflix put on the final season, I bought it so James and I wouldn't have to wait until it came on Netflix. This show is everything you think it would be and everything it is not. Another show with tag lines as Remember My Name and Yeah Bitch. AGAIN another show I didn't think I would enjoy and ended up really loving it.

6. Orange is the New Black

I can not say enough amazing things about this show. If you have not heard of this show then you are living under a rock. This is a Netflix only show, BUT it is worth signing up for Netflix alone, despite the 9.99 cost, seriously it is worth the money for this show. One of my coworkers watches it now and is in love with it. Season 1 and the past Season 4 are the best. The characters are so deep, emotional, and profound for sure. The scenes and the rawness is so different and it is Netflix so they can do what ever they want. This is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. Oh and it is based on a true story, the first season at least and was a book, which is also a  great read.

5. Friends

I know this will be on Nanci's list also!!! Probably the best show T.V. sitcom of all time. So many laughs and tears with this show and so many iconic epsiodes that you want to watch over and over. I still cry at the finale, each and every time. Anytime I come across this show on TBS, I can not help but watch it, even if I saw it a million times already.

4. Big Bang Theory

I came to liking this show pretty late in the game BUT instantly I loved it. They have some of the best one liners and with a character like Sheldon you are laughing the whole time. Each character is so different in their own way but together it works like no other! While this show is not binge worthy you can get caught up quite easily on TBS because they do marathons of this show often. This is going into its 10th season I believe, I could be wrong and I hope it stays around for many many more.

3. The Goldbergs

Even though this show is set in the 80's it speaks to modern day more than anything. This family is hysterical. Show on Wednesday's along with Modern Family and Blackish, this family fits right in. The mother is best and the brother is a total moron, you will understand when you watch the show. It takes you back with 80's nostagla and always has a great message to portray. The show is based on creator Adam Goldbergs home videos, makes this show even more geniune. At the end of the show he even shows an original home video the show is based off of, which is really neat. You will LAUGH a lot with this show.

2. Law & Order: SVU

I believe this show is going into its 18th Season this fall, crazy!! I mean you seriously have to be living in the dark ages if you have never had a SVU marathon on TBS or USA or Netflix or on Demand. I probably have seen every one, some more than once because when it comes on and I have nothing else going on, I can not help but watch it. Ice T cracks me up with his one liners, Carsis is my new favorite and well Olivia, I just want that girl to stop trying to be killed and finally happy for once. The show really is fantastic with its sometimes true to life story lines and I am going to guess it is on everyone's guilty pleasure list.

Okay so this one has to be a  tie for me, I know despite the Top Ten but it was hard to choose....

1.The Twlight Zone

My mom and I would watch the marathon they showed every New Years Eve and Day when I was younger, as we took down the Christmas Tree and still till this day I do the same thing. There are millions of them out there and I love each and everyone. The one where they get stranded at the diner is my favorite and I love when I catch it. They have every single on Netflix, but I wait until New Years to watch them and they also show it on the Fourth of July, I, of course catch it then too. They are bad acting but the short stories are so good.

And my biggest guilty pleasure..

Saved By The Bell

Still my favorite show of all time. I have seen every single one, even the specials they showed, like the beach vacation, the one in Hawaii, THE WEDDING OF ZACH and KELLY, I still cry when they do the flashbacks and of course the college years. I LOVED LOVED this show growing up. I had the books, the games, the Cd, the dolls, I had every book and magazine they came in and I followed them after they left the show, example with Tiffani Amber Thiessen went to 90210, another big show of mine. I secretly hoped they would all marry each other, never happened and I even watched that horrible Lifetime movie about the Secrets of the show. This show definded my childhood crushes and my childhood in general, it later set me up to love, like I mentioned 90210, Dawsons Creek, California Dreaming and One Tree Hill. It was the perfect early 90's show and yes I will sit and watch it on TBS from time to time. It is my favorite memory of childhood.

So grab some popcorn, set your DVR's or add these to your Netflix Que, because I know you will love these shows just as much as I do, Enjoy!

And what is one of your favorites to watch???

Goodbye 30, Hello 31

So today is my Birthday!!!

I turn a year old today, I turn the Big 31!!!

Another year older, another year wiser, another year to be better than the year prior!!

And I am spending my day, doing the things I love....had breakfast with my love, which is my absolute favorite thing to do in the world, then we went for coffee at Starbucks and got the new Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Machiatto. Super delicious!

Then we went to Walmart for some grocery shopping and now I plan on spending the rest of the day relaxing, reading, napping and a run later. What a better birthday could I ask for.

This weekend we had an amazing time. We went to the Dierks Bentley concert and it was a truly fantastic time. We had such a great, great time.

We drank and danced and sang along to all the songs. Resulting in the next day, yesterday, I was severely hung over, like real bad haha. I am definitely getting older for the way I felt yesterday morning and all day to be exact.

But it was worth every feel for sure. It was a great birthday present with my love.

So this past year has been all about growth for me too. I felt like this last year has gone so quickly. I mean seriously it has just flown right on by.

My 30th year was filled with lots of fun and hard work. Right after my birthday, I had my wisdom teeth out, kicking it off with a bang, my mom came down for vacation, and I then got promoted at work. Resulting in me working in a much busier store, commuting 30 minutes to work each day, hiring all new people and starting over with work. Starting from the bottom it felt like again. And I realized that I am stronger at my job then I ever was before.

Probably the biggest thing in my 30th year was my love of running came right back and stronger than ever. I really, kicked up my running races more and more. Since July 18th last year, I have ran 10 5ks, and 2 half marathons and a 10k and a 15k. I have found a love of virtual races. My ankle injury has gotten better and I am on a runstreak right now also. I have been going for 79 days straight after today.

I have grown with my reading too as I am reading more and more and loving books that revolve around positive growth.

I am becoming a better and healthier version of who I was also suppose to be.

This year in my 31 year, I simply plan to love more, laugh hard, run more, cry less, smile every day, find happiness, true, deep growth of happiness, experience more, spend less, do more with friends, work hard, loose weight and continue to sparkle each day!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to R.C.S

Happy 3rd Birthday to My Blog!!!!

Wow, I can believe I started this little journey 3 years ago today...

I remember being kind of nervous to put myself out there. What was I going to write about?
Would anyone want to read it? What could I make out of this blog?

All I knew was I was going to be open and honest and grow along the way!

I was going to write about the good, the bad and everything in between.

I was going to write when I wanted and share a lot of details into my life, the struggles and the successes. I planned on writing about the fun things in my life and of course food.

And I think I have done just that and then some.

Am I a BLOGGER per say, maybe, maybe not. I know some pretty amazing bloggers and I hope to grow this as the time passes, specificialy this year. I hope to expand and dive more into my blog.

I have gotten to go to some new places with this blog, test lots of cool products and I have met some really awesome people through my blog.

I honestly can say I love this blog and if it wasn't for James, buying me a laptop 3 years ago and suggesting I do this, then it would never had happened honestly. He opened the door and I went through.

So Happy Birthday to Run.Chew.Sparkle. On the 3rd Birthday, this year we are going to post more, laugh more, cry a little bit, Run A whole lot, Promise to share more Chewing and of course doing it with a little extra Sparkle!!

If you have been reading along with me and sharing my life, THANK YOU. I know there are a lot of things you could be doing but reading my little piece of life and I appreciate you taking the time to do so. Please continue on.

Thank you for all the likes and comments and shares. Thank you for following me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and SnapChat.

Thank you for joining me in this virtual world of awesomeness!!

For My Mom...

A funny thing happens as you get older...

You start to really appreciate those around you, your friends, co-workers, your significant other and your family.

The ones you want in your life, you make the time for them, you show up and put them first. But sometimes it is really hard to make time for the ones you love, you stop calling as much, showing up and things go a little off course....

For me....

its my relationship with my Mom.

Seriously my whole life we have butted heads. She says right, I go left. I say the sky's blue she tells me it is black. We are the same but different.

If that makes any sense whatsoever.

We fight at least once a phone call..

even though I live 1300 miles away.

We argue when we are around each other,

even if its once a year.

That is us!!

But as much as we fight and argue, there is no one in this world I would rather have as my mother...

She is funny, caring, sweet, Crazy, loopy, strong, curious, Determined, impatient, annoyed at the easiest things, she listens (sometimes) lol, but she has a heart of gold.

She drives me up the wall and keeps me grounded.

As my 31 birthday approaches, I am looking back on my first 30th year.

Yes, I am making that a thing and it was great.

I had lots of fun and I have GROWN a lot this year. I know my 30's will be my best years, but I did not grow my relationship with my mom.

We kind of got away from it all. See life happened and there went weeks we didn't even talk.

And when we did, well we fought.

I was not a great daughter. I should have called more, sent more texts of I love you. Posted more of how much I loved her. Should have sent my Mother's Day gift on time. I should have made more of an effort this year. I should have given her 100% not 50%.

It is hard living 1300 miles away. Some days it is really tough, not having my mom around. She is the one person I need when I am sick. The person I cry too when I feel like death has won over.

Losing a parent, like me losing my dad is tough on the other parent. I know I put my dad on a pedestal now that he is gone. It is hard to describe or explain, but I know my mom feels it. I don't love my Dad anymore than my mom, if anything I love my Mom even more now that he is gone.

Because she is all I HAVE.

I am an only child, and she is my mom. It is her and I in this world.

I have to remember that.

So going into my 31 this year, I am giving a gift to my Mom.

Yes Mom, you are getting a gift!

My gift is to love you like you love me!!

You love me despite my mistakes and my successes.

Despite how crazy you make me, well I am just going to keep on loving you.

I promise to call more, text more and post to Facebook more. I know you would love that one the most. When we are visiting, I will take more time for us. I will sleep over at your place. I will not complain, I will compliment.

I will send you more thinking of you and they will be on time.

Mom, without you, there would be no me.

I wouldn't have a birthday. I wouldn't have my drive for success. I wouldn't have my strength.

I would not be Angelina Louise Allerton, without you!

I am you and you are me and together we are Mother and Daughter.

Thank you for bringing me in this world and making me, well ME.

I love you now and always!!

The greatest gift you have given me, was being my Mom...

Sunday Morning Virtual Coffee Talk

Good Sunday Morning!!

How about we go out for some coffee. Lets pull up a chair, order our favorite cup, just they way you like it. I would order a Large because we are going to be chatting for a bit, with skim milk and 3 Splenda. I would want to order the ooey gooey cinnamon roll, just I would settle for the item with the less amount of calories because #goals and save my calories for wine later.

Yes wine would be happening later ;0)

Okay, so we have our coffee, now lets get to talking, virtually

If we were really sitting down for coffee, I would tell you how happy I am that we are finally are making time for this and how much I have missed you.

Then I would tell you some of the current things I have been loving and going on with lately...

Currently I am reading two books, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, it is part of my book club online and I will tell you I have not been great at it. I have not made the time to sit down and really read, I have been distracted with other events and things going on. I would tell you also, I have started another book First Kiss from James Patterson. I have not started that book either. I would mention I have been to the library and took out 4 other books too, because I just love reading and really need to planning some time.

Currently I am loving on some music too. I would tell you how excited that I just bought tickets to see Dierks Bentley on July 16. Two days before my birthday. I love me some Dierks and especially with his new cd. Plus it is a concert and James and I love to go to concerts, it fell around my birthday weekend and I am super excited. I haven't been to a country concert in a long long time. I think it is a great way to ring in 31!

Currently we are loving on our coffee, which is my favorite drink probably of all time, especially the iced Almond Joy from Dunkin Donuts. But I am loving my Bud Lite Limes on hot days when we are hanging out by the pool and I am committing to drinking at least 80 oz of water a day.

Currently I would I tell you I am watching Game of Thrones. Letting you know I never wanted to start this show, I had no desire BUT EVERYONE told James and I to start it. And I get it, I get the hype, it is a really good show and I find myself really enjoying it. Plus my Poppy said it is probably his favorite show, so I

Currently I would tell you my triumphs would be that I have now reached day 70 of my own personal run streak. The run streak has become so much more than running every day. It has become my way of life and I can not imagine not doing it, seriously. Every day there is a little piece of part of me, a very little part that does not want to run, but I can not stop. There is a BIGGER part of me that is not going to stop until my Body tells me absolutely not. I started this just to kick start me back into a joy of running and wow how much it has. Then I was going to go to 4th of July and well now, I am not sure, I am going to keep kicking up the miles until I cant...

Currently I would tell you my indulgence lately has been vacation, in the fact I did enjoy the time I had with my family A LOT. Like a whole lot. I got lots of love from them, I had been missing, I also indulge in some things I had not in a long time and ate at different times, BUT that week was just for fun and I will not continue you on. I would tell you my sweet tooth is on an overload BUT I will nail it and have been doing great this week.

Oh and since we are sitting across from each other, you would love my outfit, I am currently wearing. My shorts, a size 10, yup with some room too, even in the legs, making progress and wearing my Coffee before Talkie shirt, I mean pretty appropriate.

My current mood would just be content and happiness. I would tell you that I am in a really good place in my relationship with James, sure he drives me absolutely crazy BUT we are in this life together and I love him with all my heart.

I would tell you work is doing great we made the month last month, meaning we bonuses. I would tell you I am excited to turn 31 because I love a new year with new beginnings.

I would tell you as our coffee is getting done, that is 5:00 o'clock somewhere and lets move this on to some wine!!!

So what would you tell me currently if we were having coffee??!!
